Welcome to ‘Peace Signs and Pruners’!  I’m a retired horticulturist who loves to share the wisdom I’ve accumulated.  Garden design, landscaping, organic vegetable gardening, retail nursery sales of trees, shrubs and perennials: I’ve done it all! 

I’m currently living in the cold climate of the Canadian Praires, where my husband and I ran an organic market garden for two decades.  Previous to that we had a landscape design, installation and maintenance business on the West Coast of Canada, where I took my horticulture training and became certified as an arborist by the ISA. 

Six years ago, when we sold our little farm, we took our first trip to Costa Rica.  We’ve been back a few times and love the landscape and the people.  If you love plants, birds, butterflies, waterfalls, beaches, mountains…you get the picture.  Get it on your bucket list if you love Mother Nature.
